Most
of the people The Arc serves have a primary diagnosis of mental
retardation,
which is
defined as "slowed or delayed in development
or progress."
This simply means that these
individuals sometimes
have to
work harder and longer to acquire certain skills.

Job
Opportunities
The Arc accepts applications on a continuous
basis for part-time and full-time employment working with our Community
Service Day Program, Supported Living Program, and Whole Life
Service Program.
Applications for employment may be picked up at the Amador or
Calaveras offices.
Please note that we hire people with a positive attitude, enthusiasm,
great references and a good driving record.
The Arc also tests for alcohol and drug abuse. Only individuals
who test negative for drugs and alcohol will be considered for
employment.
